The Minister for Macedonia–Thrace (Greek: Υπουργός Μακεδονίας–Θράκης) was the government minister in charge of Greece's defunct Ministry of Macedonia–Thrace. The last minister was Stavros Kalafatis. Until 1988, the title of the minister was Minister for Northern Greece.[1]
On 7 October 2009, the Ministry for Macedonia-Thrace has ceased, as no Minister of the new Government was placed in charge; instead, the Ministry was transformed into the General Secretariat for Macedonia and Thrace, and is under the administration of the Ministry of the Interior.[2][3]
